Tsingtao is, and always will be, my favorite terrible beer.

I have no reason to pretend to be smart about beer , so I don’t hate lager. So far as Asian brands go, Orion is pretty good.

My dad is mostly a teetotaler, but, for some reason, 333 Export is about the only beer he will tolerate in moderation. Have no idea why, or if he would drink any other Asian beers.
There’s one other one with a tiger on the label that he says isn’t bad, but can’t find. Wonder if that’s it?

When i lived in china, it was actually the expensive option, Yanjing was the cheap one.

Tsingtao is hella expensive in Hong Kong.
I’m... not a fan of Yanjing, but I’ll drink it for the novelty.

NO. Lucky Buddha is horrible, even if I like their bottles.

Which, for the record, is actually pretty good! And I don’t mean “good for shitty beer” good. I mean “actually stands on it’s own merits.”

One of my local shops used to actually go to the trouble of stocking it, because it is legitimately better than Guinness. So of course, the wholesaler quit ordering it period.

The problem with cheap Asian beers in Australia is they are often brewed in Oz under licence. Same goes with the European brews. No-one bothers with importing or licencing the US beers incidentally...
But cheap and decent German beer does happen here...$10 for a six pack.
